"Aha! is a unique puzzle game, made pretty much out of several mini games. Each of these works a little bit differently, thus making each one unique. Overall, a very good game. I am starting to build up quite a bit of respect for this company. Very good job. Kudos all around."

TUKIDS [13/02/00] (5/5)   TUKIDS posted the review of the full version of Aha! Game:
A long time ago in a galaxy not so far away, a game called Tetris was born. The idea was simple enough. Different-colored blocks called tetrads, each made of four squares, would fall from the top of the playing field, and it was the player's job to line up four squares of the same color to make rows. Once a row was formed, the blocks that made it up would disappear, giving the player more room to work when the next tetrad fell. The concept was easy; the game, depending on its level, was not. And Tetris became an addiction for many. TUKIDS is proud to present AHA! Game this weeks Cool Review For the week of: February 13th, 2000.
As often happens with great games, many people have made variations of it since it first appeared, some of which are pretty clever and a lot of fun. Aha! is one of those cool variations on the Tetris theme, different enough to make it unique but similar enough to make it as much fun as the original. Beautiful, colorful graphics, good sound and very simple controls make this an easy game to get into; the challenge makes it hard to leave. In Aha! Game, instead of falling blocks, you get a playing field filled with different-shaped pieces. If two or more pieces of the same shape are touching, you can click the mouse on them to make them disappear, which lets other pieces move into the empty spaces left. The object is to clear the whole board - not always an easy task. But luckily, you can adjust the number of different shapes you have to work with (fewer shapes makes for an easier game) to suit your skill level.
You'll also enjoy the graphics and sound in this game, which are both very good. The playing field has a slick, hi-tech look; the game pieces are given a cool 3D appearance, and when you mouse over moveable pieces, they spin. As for the sound, the background music is nice and upbeat, sure to help you keep your patience if the frustration factor gets to you. So, if you think you're up for the challenge (not to mention the fun), be sure to check out Aha! Game.

Yippee.Net [13/09/00] (4/5)   Yippee.Net gave Aha!Game 4 star rating:
"Ok, this game is addictive. I don't know if it's because of the high-quality graphics, or the gameplay which is really simple yet incredibly complex, if you get what I'm saying. This is really top notch as far as logistics programs go. It even has a tool for submitting your high scores to the web...."

MacOS Zone [06/12/99]  MacOS Zone posted the review of the full version of Aha! Game. Since you'd better read the complete review, small quote this time:
"Aha! is an easy-to-learn hard-to-master logic game. The playing field is filled with various objects - geometrical figures, funny creatures, rails, etc. (the exact look depends on the theme chosen). The object of the game is to maximize your score by removing as many items from the playing field as possible. The more you remove at once, the higher the score. Its main feature are the changeable themes. A theme is combination of a background, a set of items, and their behaviour, that determines how your game is going to look like."

MacCentral Online [03/12/99]  MacCentral Online posted the review of the full version of Aha! Game. Since you'd better read the complete review, small quote this time:
"Aha! is a logic game in which players encounter a large board filled with objects of similar shape. Clicking on two or more shapes lined up vertically or horizontally causes them to disappear, and causes the shapes around them to fall accordingly. The goal is to clear the board completely. Scores can be enhanced by lining up large configurations of identical shapes. The game can be reconfigured extensively."

PCGameREVIEW Daily News [29/11/99]  PCGameREVIEW Daily News posted the review of the full version of Aha! Game. Since you'd better read the complete review, small quote this time:
"Aha!Game is an easy-to-learn, hard-to-master logic game with modern interface, high quality graphics and comic animation. It is addictive and challenging, suits all ages, and is good for the entire family.
The gameplay is very easy. The playing field is filled with various objects - geometrical figures, funny creatures, rails, etc. (the exact look depends on the theme you choose). You remove adjacent pieces of the same type by clicking the group, making the pieces nearby fill the resulting holes. The strategy is to remove as many pieces as possible with a single click to score high points. Smaller groups give less or even nothing. The game comes with 4 different graphic themes. Each with unique set of pieces, animation, sound effects and strategy. "

Glide Underground [03/09/99] (4/5) A very detailed and informative review of the game was made by Stuart Macdonald from Glide Underground.
Here's a quote:
"The gameplay is very, very good indeed. Aha! will draw you in with it's weird and wonderful ways, and just when you are about to start a new game, it will spit you out as cruel reality hits. Your wife goes into labour, but you just stay behind for "one more game". Your chair breaks from the weight of your growing brain, but you just stand up and play again. This really is how Aha! plays..."
Be sure to read the entire article here. It's definitely a pleasure, for the author has style.
